131 build what exhaust
« on: July 05, 2020, 10:43:49 AM »

Installing a 131 in my 2020 cvo RG in a few weeks. What exhaust do you guys think? I like the HPI or fab28 with a ghost pipe. Looking for good sound and best performance. Anyone here ever hear or run those pipes?

How about Fullsac? Just recore your mufflers. I also use a few other two into ones like the Rush wrath and D&D fatcat

I tune a lot of bikes that the owner selected popular exhaust systems but I'm here to tell you I haven't seen anything beat the Fullsac header and their 2'' core for the twin cam and the 2.25 core for the M8 117'' and larger motors. The major difference between the Fullsac and other popular systems out there is the low end and mid range tq.......Fullsac is hands down for best performance where the bike lives, usuable tq, between 2000 and 3000 rpm, Fullsac out performs everything else I have seen.

I Love my DD Fatcat on my 128 build, But definitely can’t go wrong with Fullsac headers and their baffles... I don’t have any personal experience with the exhaust you are asking about..

Fuel Moto 2/1/2 with S&S MK-45 mufflers. Sounds great and runs just as good.

Hey Doc! Making decent parts has never been a problem for us. Explaining it to people is another story.
I appreciate you telling it like it is!

I'm a Fullsac fan.  I used is complete system on several twin cam bikes, including the 13 CVO I still have. Its making 138.5 HP and 140 torque with a great torque curve, lots down low where you ride.

Gave the New MX head pipe for the M8 a try, for my builds even though most were using the D&D billet cat.  Love the results and torque curve it provided torque comes on nice and early with a good curve.  Sound is good at idle, not loud.  Not loud at 75mph either, but get on it and it gets loud.  Not obnoxious like the Billet cat.

I highly recommend going fullsac.
