On my phone at least, when it's connected there is a separate volume level for Bluetooth. Also, I've found the volume level depends on the audio source; some mp3s are louder than others. Maybe try playing something on youtube or Pandora to see if the level is different.

I mentioned this to a techie friend that is into Apple.

He said that this has been an issue with the iPhone

suggested that
-make sure you have the latest OS update
-do not have any other apps running in the background (Facebook could be an issue)

if still having problem time to talk to Apple

I guess that the good news about the bad news is that it is not a Harley issue.

Thank you for the feed back !!!! I only tried with the blue tooth setup not with a cord attached I will try that and see if it makes a difference.

My buddy has a 15 CVO Street Glide, he found that if the Facebook App is active on his iPhone, the volume is cut by nearly 1/2.  Make sure Facebook is disabled and see if that helps.

With by 15 SERGU and my 14 Stingray, bluetooth music from my iPhone 6 is very muted if any other apps are running on the phone.

I found it much easier to run my music via the usb, that way I do not have to turn apps on and off.  Plus is it keeps my phone charged.

I've noticed a significant difference in not only loudness, but also quality when using iPhone thru Bluetooth. I much prefer using USB cord for a couple reasons: sound quality is way better, it charges my phone, the screen album on the display. However, I've just recently noticed two issues that seem to have begun. One is that I cannot forward or replay a song, only volume control. Second, every single time I shut the bike off and restart it, I have to reset the volume speed control setting.
I actually stumbled across this feature one day, when I felt like I just wasn't getting the same quality sound at speed, and when I went to the volume speed setting, lowered it a notch from the "4" settings, then put it back up to the 4th bar, the amps really kicked in when I started moving again!! The sound is incredible, but as I said, once I stop and chit off the bike, I have to go through the process again. Not a big deal, more of a pain. The ability to skip songs or repeat, now that's a problem!! Any ideas???

Okay, update to my one problem with scrolling through songs on my iPhone. Discovered that it was because on my bike's setup, I had the presets selected instead of scan!! All is good on planet Mad Max now!!!

I have the same low volume issue with my android Phone. Any ideas to get volume louder when streaming music from Pandora? I don't have music loaded on my phone so usb won't help.
Thanks

Do you have the volume on the phone the whole way up for the music?
