Does this mean my Street Glide, which was manufactured earlier than this will have a cluch lever that rattles, unless I replace the master cylinder? ???

Not necessarily, mine doesn't rattle after 5 years.

Looks to me like this design change had more to do with cheapening the internals.  Note that the new version cannot be rebuilt, unlike the old version.

Running change for 2010 CVO touring?

Got this link from another site, don't know if this means earlier production models need upgrade or what?

Looks like a change driven by cost of production rather than service need.  The new part is is completely non-serviceable.  Probably costs a bit less to make.  I'd rather have the old one and be able to kit someday if ever need be.

2010 Clutch Master Cylinder Service Bulletin
« Reply #10 on: March 09, 2010, 07:00:27 PM »

Today I saw a new bulletin for the CVO 2010 hydraulic clutch master cylinder. It's not a recall or a service fix. Seems that the newer build 2010 CVO touring bikes will have an upgraded unit. If there are issues with the older style a full replacement will be ordered as you can't upgrade them.

The bulletin didn't say why there was a change. It came out February 24th or 27th of this year. Any one know what is going on?  :nixweiss:
