funny, same problem different make   my tech suggested the direct drive aspect of the Bakker could have somehow created a high wear issue   what does you guy think ?

HUBBARD.... theres no luck like good luck I always say, when my stock HD 5 speed locked up with the big motor it was like hiting the rear brake at 65 which was!! the speed I was going, and  if I did not think fast and  pull the clutch in I would of been air born flaping my wings for a hard landing [smiley=confused5.gif] the good old boy up stairs was on my back seat that day, expect the unexpected couse you just never know when one of them there pink elaphants will jump right out of them there bushes [smiley=nervous.gif], now I'm going to go check my oil in my Baker 6 speed for metal jjjuuusssttt in case, thanks for sharing your thoughts  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

  Neil just called, and said Ol' Maudie is ready!   Did tell me he found a nick in the Mainshaft, and installed a new one.  And listen to this, said he didn't have a mainshaft, so he disassembled a new 6-speed slide-in, and put it in my Tranny!  Now that's Service!  I'll be pullin' [smiley=trailer.gif] in Tilley's around noon, tomorrow, if any of you clowns want to come up and shoot the breeze!  [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif] Later--HUBBARD

Hubbard...you DO live right..caught it in time and the fix was a bearing instead of a new tranny...And you said DE-TUNED....uh-huh....and elephants fly [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

BTW, Ol' Maudie is safe and warm at home, in OTIS's garage.  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] Can't really turn her loose 'till She gets 300 miles on Her.  Gonna' try to knock those out, the first day of Bike Week, around Ocala area.   Later--HUBBARD

You may want to head up to Ocala Harley then continue on about 1 mile to 326 go right then head over to 40 till you hit 314a (Winn dixie there) turn right onto it and go 10 miles till you get to  SE 182ND AVE RD go right  and that road changes names to 182nd Avenue Road, take that down to (7 miles) highway 42 go left on 42 till you hit 19 on 19 go left (blinking light) and take it to 445a about 6 or so miles once on 445a take it to (Great High Speed Country road about 15 miles of beautiful cruising) 445b (short road) turn right and take that to 40  at 40 go left and return to ocala via 40 go right and take it down to Daytona or to 19 go right and go to 42 and take that back across to bellview ends up over in pedro after  you cross 25a in weirsdale its another 5 miles to 441 from there.

Yeah, 'er 'uh, Ladies and Gentlemen,
  This is the culprit.  It appears an end came off one of the needle bearings, in the inner bearing, and destroyed the retainer.  Not good.
