S&S carb vs CV?
« on: February 04, 2006, 09:21:35 PM »

I have a DaVinci S&S G 48mm carb on my 116'' that has a power booster in the center other then that the butterfly has been polished to let the flow of air move smooth threw the ported manifold that I did my self, placing indents threw out the inside and some other little things that lets the gas brake up in tiny fire breathing droplits [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif] If you have ever looked down a NASCAR manifold you would know what I mean

On the other hand I have used a CV on my 95'' and it worked well but the S&S was more tunner friendly seems like the plunger would be more restrictive, does any one have a 52mm CV on there big motors?

The Cv is a 51mm. I have one on my 95ci FXDWG. All I can say is try it you will like it. I was an S&S man for years. Zippers developed an item called the Thunder Jet. It adds another tuning circuit to the S&S carbs. There is nothing wrong with an S&S but I think you will like the CV.
