Polished or Chrome rotors??
« on: February 21, 2011, 11:58:44 PM »

What is everybodys take on polished rotors do they really hold there shine if so what one would you buy?? I just hate the fact the rims on a 2007 se springer are so nice u just cant see them cause of the rotors and such. Someone needs to invent a brake that with in the rim so u can see the whole rim kinda the same concept as drum brakes but in the hub

You may want to check out the 360 brake it looks great it is part ot the hub I know they used to have problems but I believe a new company took over and revamped just google 360 brake

I am not positive on this but I believe if you want chrome rotors they have to be a two piece rotor.  Reason being the chrome will wear down on the outside of a one piece rotor and start peeling.  I have had two piece rotors on both of my last two bikes, the first ones warped and were replaced by Performance Machine.  The set that I have now are RC Components and I haven't had any trouble yet, but I only have about 600 miles on them.  So i guess what I am getting at is that I don't think there is anything you can do to get a rotor completely chromed.
