That's not a plate, it's a 32oz bowl. There are 3 eggs under the grits which are about 4" deep

Where I grew up a Man's breakfast was a 8oz Sirlon cooked in a smoking hot cast iron skillet with the eggs cooked in the same skillet while steak was resting. Home made biscuts with real butter and Mom's homemade Black or Strawberry jelly. 2nd Choice was A slice of Country Ham with Gravy made from the ham grease (Called Red Eye). 3rd would have been hot pork sausage or thick sliced bacon.
Shrimp deal maybe good, but definitely not a Man's Breakfast in Ky

Sounds similar to the breakfast my Mom served every morning after chores were done on the farm. Brings back good memories.

Believe it or not but in my early 20's when I was a field tech all the tech's would meet at a Carls Jr by the shop before going out on our calls for the day for a double western bacon cheese burger for breakfast.  They were one of the only places around here that would severe lunch in the morning.  Although this pic is not an actual representation I thought it fitting
