I have a 2018 CVO RG in Black Earth. I really want to add the 3D B&S tank emblems that came on the Gunship Gray ones. Is there any possibility that HD will sell them to me?

They are a VIN restricted part. You have to return yours to get the new ones. They are just 50 bucks each. But dang near impossible to buy from HD.

There is a guy on Facebook selling look a likes for $65.00 shipped, although I don't know how that will go over being a registered trademark :nixweiss:

They are VIN restricted, you can only buy the ones that came on your bike. Or if you have a friend with a bike with the ones you want, he could buy them for you. You will not be able to buy them.

I believe the friend would have to return his in order to purchase new ones, it's like an exchange program, you can order new ones but the old ones need to be returned.

I mentioned this to my PM at my dealer one day. He said if HD wanted a copy of the police report that I made when it happened, they better have one on file at the store with my purchase. Just what I was told.

I bought my set on ebay. The last time I looked, there was several sets on there. They're bringing big money, just depends on how bad you want them.

I saw the $699.95 one on Ebay, I figured everyone on this site that owns 2018 would go to there dealer and order a set for there bike ;) ;)

It's not that easy.... I was required to hand over my "damaged" ones. If they were stolen I needed to submit a police report (what if I didn't report it?). They are protecting them as of now.

Good question.
I like it as I purchased a bike with them. This keeps them exclusive to the CVO (for now).

Several years ago I ordered a outer batwing fairing for my bike. (paint issue) I expected to have to exchange my old one. Not so. I was told it was not wanted or required. I didn't argue. :nixweiss:

same for me. i rebuilt a damaged cvo. just went to the dealer and ordered painted parts and other cosmetics. they came in i picked them up and still have the old parts and the bike.
