PowerCommander III USB install
« on: September 27, 2005, 08:13:30 AM »

New Dood here.

Just put my first 1K on my 04 Yella' Deuce and now I'm itchin' to change the pipes which of course, needs an ECU mod/chip/etc.

So... has anyone installed the PCIII using the new ECU tray that mounts under the stock seat? The original instructions say to mount it on top of the alarm under the mudflap but if this new tray allows easier install under the seat, that would be just peachy keen. Has anyone installed it? If it does only fit on the alarm, no big deal or a hassle to run the wiring harness up through the battery box?

Anyone?  Buhler...? Buhler....? [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

Thx

Welcome to the websight, I also have an 04se deuce in blue. Changed the pipes out to vance and hines staggered, put a high flow kit, no problem bike runs good didn't need power commander or chip. I imagine it would depend on the type of pipes you choose.  Good luck!!

As an FYI for PC3 USB /SE DEUCE installers...

I could not get the large connectors of the PC3 in between the wiring harness to snake it up through the battery box like they recommended. It was impossible as the stock alarrm wiring. etc. could not be moved without cutting away the sheathing. Long story short, put it under the seat like the stock Deuce. Just had to cut away one unused metal connector tab on top of the relay bracket and not put back one of the bracket screws (right side) so the commander would sit flat on top of the bracket and lowered relay covers.

With a new set of V+H Big Radius and the PC3, she sounds awesome, much to the dislike of my neighbors who know, for certain now, when I'm leaving and coming home!

Mine was mounted by my tuner in front of the splash shield...but since it is still in the shop for crash repairs I can't give you details!

PM me and I'll send you the map I got with my PCIII. The map is supposedly taken from a previously dyno'd 95" CVO with SE cleaner and V+H big radius pipes. Works great for me.
