Saddlebag help...
« on: August 30, 2009, 11:09:51 AM »

I've got a FXDSE/2 and I'm looking for some advice on some Quick Release, leather (preferable) saddlebags. Harley shows the 90801's are QD, but they supposedly don't fit my bike.

Anyone put bags on the Dyna? Thoughts, comments, suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

I got my bags from Harley and had them check at several dealers.  There were no available quick release saddlebags made by Harley.  However, it only takes about 5-10 minutes to get the Harley bags I bought off the bike.

Here is the link to the bags on Harley's site - http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/gma_product.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524442228167&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374309355677&ASSORTMENT%3C%3East_id=2534374309355677&bmUID=1251690756708&bmLocale=en_US

Good luck!

P.S. I didnt use the reflectors obviously.

Look at my signature line

Got them from Harley and the color matched perfectlyl!

It was even the correct Screamin' Eagle Scarlett Red!

I went with OEM Harley Detachable Bags and Backrest.
The only Mod they needed to do was Relocate/Replace the License Plate Holder and Turn Signal Mountings.

Were they the "#31 Boss Bags" ?

Did you have to relocate the turn signals ?

Can you post a pic ?
