Fuel Moto has them in stainless

www.fuelmotousa.com
I'm going to look at their product next week. Nice thing is,... Lifetime warranty.
I had a headpipe from Fullsac break at the weld while on a trip last summer. Not a happy camper

I spoke with them a little over a week ago. A stainless version is in the works. Possibly available very soon.

Nice looking pipe, there have been some minor changes from the last generation x pipe,
Minor brackets and gussets all worked out for a smooth easy install.
you know he won't release product until it's "right"!
Sure is light weight vs my old steel x pipe!

Steve: I'm sure liking my new mufflers!  8)

I put about 85000 miles on a Fullsac Xpipe between two bikes, and it's still on the last bike I sold. I've sold and installed about 30+ some odd xpipes and sportpipes. Never had issue. But you know parts do fail from time to time. Stress and metal fatigue do happen.

Got a couple sport pipes on members bikes here, they ride hard but no issues.
It would be interesting to know WHERE it broke, as the pipe is OEM Harley with the center section replaced.

IME, especially with OEM head pipes (pre-09) cracks usually develop due to strain on the mounting.
Not to say there may have been an issue with quality control, but IMO that would be a long shot knowing how detail oriented Fullsac is.
They are usually pretty good returning phone calls, it may take a day or two, but, I've always received a call back.

Reason I asked if it was a DX was I believe those are designed very well, welds looked excellent.  Crack in the Sport pipe could have occurred if the system was stressed on installation.  For example Supermegs require a sequence for torqueing fasteners.

No stress on this pipe.. it was moved back into place with one finger. I found a weld shop the next day and they welded the pipe back together without taking it off the bike... Better than new!

I got the same (non) response when I had a problem with FS map.  At least you didn't call and get told to pack sand.

I thought I was the only one that got that response. Had an issue with the TTS on my 09 CVO years back. I realize they are a big supporter of this sight and a lot of people use and like their products, but I guess their not for everyone.

I'll let everyone know how the Fuel Moto works out.

Sounds like maybe one of the brackets may have been loose?
I think the clamp at the back of the oil pan "locates" and supports the rear part of the header, no?
