Freedom's New True Duals
« on: June 02, 2007, 12:24:00 AM »

Last weekend bandanagirl & I rode to Nevada to a show Called the Run-a-Mucca, and Freedom had a booth we got the chance to see the new pipes that Freedom will be coming out with on June 1st, spoke with James, Brads son he had a pair installed on a bike, and I have to say they looked pretty dam good. When I first saw a Pic of them I didn't like them at all, but really changed my mind looking first hand, James started the bike so we could hear them, have to say there alittle quieter then the older verson, he told me that you'll get around 6HP more on the low end then about the same as the others higher up. There alittle pricey around thousand dollars was what he quoted, I have acouple of Pic's.

The shape reminds me of the SPO's after seeing Howie's. But the ends definitely don't do it for me either. Plus I'm not ready to give up my Rinehart's. ;D

I am a fan of the oval shape.  The V&H Ovals, the SPOs, these from Yuill, my own White Brothers pieces.  But like you Gary, that end strikes me as esthetically challenged.

Yeah, what Don said :2vrolijk_21: Those are some severely challenged looking tips. Maybe they rotate side-to-side ? :nixweiss:

Having the tips straight (instead of angled) and having the tips in an oval intead of 2 round would have worked for me.  Thanks for sharing the pictures with us.

It's too bad the R&D of some of these pieces don't contact us first to see our thoughts instead of coming out with some of the things they do.    :soapbox:

The tips would have looked good stuck in JR's picture of Rosie's mouth under "Need a louder horn" though.   ::)

Since the tips are held in with screws, I can't see why replacement tips couldn't be designed. The pipes may lose some performance, but sexy is important too.  :2vrolijk_21:
