I had Michelin's on my Beemer touring rig back in '85.  Great tires and the rear tire lasted twice as long as any OEM Dunlop I've had on my Hogs.  I got 22K out of the rear on my Mich and 26k out of the front tire.  They rode sweet...just with the bike had ridden as sweet as the tires...that's what I got for buying the first year of the "flying brick" K-Model.

I only got 6K before replacing my rear tire.  I guess I like to down shift too much.  I'll replace both with after market tires when the rear needs replacing again.  By then, the front should be about ready.  I appreciate the feedback on the Mich tires.   :cherry:

Saw two different Michelin Commander front tires for an FL.  One had a weight rating of 71H.  The other is 74H.  The 74H has a deeper tread pattern.  First, which one is recommended by the MOCO?  Second, if the 74H is not recommended.......can it be used safely?

Henry...here's the sizes off the Michelin site:

 FRONT
  130/90-16 73H
  150/80-16 71H
  MT 90 B 16 71H
  100/90-18 56H
  110/90-18 61H
  120/90-18 71H REINF
  90/90-19 52H
  100/90-19 57H
  110/90-19 62H
  3.00-19 49H
  80/90-21 48H
  MH 90-21 56H
  REAR
  140/90-15 76H REINF
  150/90-15 74H
  170/80-15 77H
  130/90-16 73H
  140/90-16 77H REINF
  150/80-16 77H REINF
  MT 90 B 16 74H

So, I'm not seeing a front that is 74H.  You should look into the width/diameter differences in these compared to the 'Lops.  Looks like a good combo might be the 130/90 or MT90 on front, and either the 140/90 or 150/80 on back.  :nixweiss:

Got a bud's '06 CUSE in my garage next to my '07 Ultra.  They're both shod with the same size as above.

Yessir.  Helps a huge ton!  Thanks.  I'll be doing this through an indy.  I think I've got MT and MU and 85 and 90 mixed up.  Hard to tell.  He has DS P/Ns on the estimate instead of the MT90B16 & MU85B16 I'm accustomed to seeing.  I need to dig into this more before committing.  Need to call the indy and confirm.
