More likely we could see OIL cooled heads on the new harley's.
That would be the simple solution.

Don't they have oil cooled heads already on the xr models?

Those CARB reports are really really late this year. This may suggest something really different for Harley........ I don't ever remember them being this late.

Posted this in the SESG 2014 speculation thread, too.

One thing that would be GREAT is to get rid of the ancient, troublesome H-K radio - and go to a more modern touch panel all-digital audio system with Bluetooth, MP3 player, GPS, etc. and a big LCD panel in the dash to control all of the functions. Does anyone use CDs anymore? I have never even put one in my radio!

Harley really needs to step up and provide state of the art modern audio/nav systems like many automobiles have these days - without needing all of the bulky add-on modules for iPod, CB, nav, etc.

Just a thought... What does everyone think about that?

OK THIS IS OFFICIAL!!!! It did not come from the pool boy, but did come from someone in the know. WATER COOLED in 2014. They are testing right now and they are having some issues. I don't know what models or every model. I know this person was talking about 1 model that they were working on right now. This person would not give up any other info.

Please do not even ask where this came from. You know the MOTHER COMPANY lurks on this site.

Hey Mike, where'd you hear this?   :huepfenlol2:

Still testing and still having problems yet having an imminent and very near term release date does sound like Harley Davidson.  In and of itself that almost makes it authoritative....

You must have some knowledge as well!!!! I was told a testing problem on 1 of the touring models. I am not sure if that is the only model they have been doing testing on or not.

Since the Roadglide is absent from the lineup isn't like 35 years since the TourGlide introduction? Maybe first water cooled bike will be 35th Anniversary TourGlide?  :Nixie's:

Brad the Tourglide was not mentioned to me. At least that is not the model they are testing at this time and having problems with.

Still testing and having problems and a near term release date . . .         Sounds par for the course from H-D to me.   ???

It would be.  At least it would be in the specific sense.  The 79 Tour Glide existed.  But the common (and apparently correct) story is that there only 19 were built.  Very much a test mule it seems.  Then 1980 saw something close to 4500 bikes and 1980 got the five speed and the 3 point rubber mounted engine.  My kidneys and shoulders and wrists loved my first rubber mounted shovel (but I digress).  There were other changes with 80 and more later on but that's how the old Tour Glide got started.
