It sure is hard to imagine that anyone would consider buying a 14 without a deluxe lumbar adjustable BSR backrest!  Just sayin'.

I've been reading the different threads about the new 2014's with great pleasure.  I'm not getting too excided though, the wife said no new bike till 2019...  By then I'm sure all the kinks will be worked out on whatever is popular at the time.  Also it may take that log for me to get the board track project finished.   :o  :o  :o  Then that would be my "new" bike I suppose.

I am curious though about what someone else asked about, the PDF's that comes out at this time about the changes on the new bikes versus the last model year bikes.  They show things, like I'm sure the new steering head, linked brakes etc.

So has someone posted the PDF to a post yet?  If so, where?

Thanks for keeping my interest with all the new things popping up.

sorry for maybe double posting but I didn't see it here: 2014_Model_Year_Technical_Forum.zip.

Note: as the Company got so terribly innovative as of lately it's no longer a .pdf but a shockwave-application (ca. 30 MB!), so you may need the latest Shockwave Player and after unpacking the .zip Datei you will have to start the "NMTF_EN.html" in "2014_Model_Year_Technical_Forum".

directed me to a "tech forum" that was password protected...can you attach the file  thanks

Just came from dealer.  They have about 15 2014 bikes there in various models.  I took some pics. Its not an allusion the lid covers on the saddle bags are definitely different shape as is the tour pak.  Luggage rack comes from moco but sits really high. Kinda out of place actually.  There are definitely vent doors in the lowers next to the radiators that open and close. The vent below the windshield also opens and closes. The dash and controls on handle bars are all redesigned. The A/C cover is not to pretty.  New latches all the way around on the tour pak and side bags.

Is it just the way I'm seeing it, or is the outer fairing different on the Police bike around the new vent system compared to the Street Glide?   :nixweiss:

Check out the last 2 pics above and see what you think.

Good eye, Grizzly.  I will bet the police version is flat so that they can more easily apply a police logo.

Not just an illusion.  Obvious difference.

At least the Police version would be easier for someone to fill and repaint the fairing if they didn't want the vent.

If you zoom in on the pic with the dash and grips you will note the addition of buttons/knobs below the usual turn signal switches.  To zoom in for close up look click on link and open pic, hold your control (ctrl) key and tap the + sign. To return to normal size hold the (ctrl) key and tap the - key.

My thoughts so far are some of the changes I like some I don't.  I have to give the MOCO credit they are making changes. Jury is still out on the results. I must ask is it just me or is there a European flare to the styling changes?  Especially the tour pak and lid covers on the saddle bags  :nixweiss:
