Khrome Works 4.5 HP Plus slip ons
« on: March 10, 2020, 09:22:06 PM »

Well, got my 1000 mile service done so put on my new Khrome Werks 4.5 HP Plus slip ons on. The are color matched to the stock CVO heat shields so no need to try and get the stock heat shields on. They look and sound good. They are about 2x louder than my RCX 4.5s were on my SGS driving down the road. Kind of loud actually, might have to buy the baffle inserts to quiet them down a bit. Will know after being on the high way for an hour and a half on my trip back to Daytona tomorrow. If you want a vid, I can try to post one but we all know that you really can't tell what they sound like from that.

They look great. They look like the same finish as the heat shields on my 18 SERG. Where did you get them? I can’t find them on their website.

Just bought them at Daytona Bike Week. They are not cheep compared to the fullsac alternative I'll tell ya that. Sit down for this, $899.00. Yeow. But like the guy said, it's a CVO. They let me pick my tips. They do not normally come with the klasic tips. Wanted them because there is no chrome on the bike so didn't want silver on my tips. They are called smoked chrome. Here is the page from their catalog. Search the KW # on line. They also have 4 baffle inserts which bolt into the current battles. DB buster, to quiet them down, Loud, which in my opinion, they don't need to be any louder, Performance and performance louvered which are supposed to increase torque.

Where did you find them at Daytona Bike Week?  Looking to go down there this weekend and would like to take a look at what they have for the CVO in the Satin Chrome color.  Thank you.

They are in the Bruce Rossmeyer's Harley parking lot in destination . They are by the leather outlet store end. Across from Drag Specialties.

Thank you for the information.  I looked them up on Facebook and saw their tent setup at Destination Daytona after I posted on here.

I know different engines but I have these on my 2015 CVO w/117" kit and used the performance baffles to get rid of a big dip in my TQ curve. I've heard that they work better on the newer engines.

I am running the stock head pipe. My bike seems to run strong. Starts pulling at about 2000 rpm. I ordered the louvered baffles just to see what they would do. The guy at the Khrome Werks tent said it's the best of both worlds. Same sound and more torque. Should get them Friday. All I know is, I was on a brick pavers road the other night, cracked the throttle at about 10 miles an hour and broke the back tire loose. I'm pretty happy with it right now. If the baffles give me more torque, it will be worth the $65.00 just to experiment. Once this Coronavirus BS is over and I'm back to work, I might buy the other two just to play around.

Mufflers look great Stewie... really nice color match.  WOW 😳. Ouch on the price ...$899.00. definitely an eye opener.   How times have changed....I’m up in Canada, so I went with Fullsac DX and 2” baffles on my 2012 Flhxse3....very happy with my decision.  Unfortunately, sold the bike last October,  experiencing sellers remorse now....  :-X
Ride safe brother....

Well got my louvered baffles already. I don't like them. Almost as quiet as stock and I actually think they made my bike slower, and now I have this weird gurgling sound when I shift. They might be alright for long trips but for now there coming back out. And to top it off, put a chip in my fender when the wrench slipped taking of the end cap. F**KING SON OF A B***H! :bigcry: :sauer055:
