And these are our other, more transient, "pets". They're really more like welfare recipients in some ways, though. They come at various times of the morning and evening looking for handouts, which we happily give them.
This was taken from our den window, which is around 10' off the ground. We've seen as many as 14 out there at one time, along with turkeys, fox, and other assorted wildlife. There have been reports of bobcat, black bear, and the rare cougar (4-legged variety) out this way, but the worst predator we've seen close to the house has been coyotes and bald eagles.
It's a good place to live.
