G'day Victor and Hey Wally. Chilling is a wonderful thing and Wally looks like he has it mastered.

That's Ruby just managing to get her head in the pic Rooster  ;D.
All white female, bully as well.
She's getting on a bit now, round 10/11 years old.
Not a bad innings for a bully.

Cool looking pups. I have a friend that had one until it passed. Special friend of hers.

Lost our Lucy today. 17-1/2 years old but still a snarky bitch. She helped keep the foster greyhounds in line.

This is Gadget.  He walked up to us from out of the woods as a kitten one summer day back in '99.  Just walked right up to us and adopted us.  He was an outdoor cat completely until 2013 when we retired to the lake.
When I had the motorcycle accident in August 2010 and lost my wife, he came in the house and spent every single night with me for the next four months until I went back to work, and then he went right back outside again.  In all those years of being an outdoor cat, he spent only a handful of nights in the house, and only then because there was 8" of snow on the ground.  That was beyond amazing to me and as you would expect created an inseparable bond between us.
When we retired, he gladly became an indoor cat and made the adjustment far easier to it than I ever would have expected, although he still enjoys warm sunshiny days.
This is the view from our deck back in June of 2014.  Gadget is still doing well although he's slowing down now, as he will be 18 this spring.  As you can imagine, he's my best buddy.

And this is Prissie, and believe me, she is exactly that.  Spoiled rotten but completely under my skin.
She will be 13 this coming fall, and still gets around like she's less than half that age.  I guess lake living is having a good effect on our pets, just as it has done for us.

And these are our other, more transient, "pets".  They're really more like welfare recipients in some ways, though.  They come at various times of the morning and evening looking for handouts, which we happily give them.
This was taken from our den window, which is around 10' off the ground.  We've seen as many as 14 out there at one time, along with turkeys, fox, and other assorted wildlife.  There have been reports of bobcat, black bear, and the rare cougar (4-legged variety) out this way, but the worst predator we've seen close to the house has been coyotes and bald eagles.
It's a good place to live.
