I miss my Great Dane...Annabelle Lee...when I went to look at the puppies, she jumped out of the pen and put her paw on my foot...I put her back, she jumped out and did the same thing again...so I took her home. She was a great companion...

That's all I have ever owned, black when I was a kid, brown after that.  My wife and I had our "first" dog, a yellow female tore my heart out when I had to put her down in 2006, and our current knucklehead a black spaz/male about 2 years old.

They are great dogs, love my kids and are just all around friendly.

They sure are great dogs, though I think ours are a little less destructive than th North American variety. It's true what you all say about them breaking your heart when they go. My last one - Jaz - died when she was 13, I was away at the time and I cried like a baby when I was driving back to the house knowing she wouldn't be there to greet me. I guess it's that unconditional love thing.

You can always use 'em as bait.  Cat's are tough, you can't even give the bad ones away.  I'd pay someone to take mine.  Our black lab Lucy, on the other hand, is finally coming into her own after 18 months.

They come with Schmoops...I can be home all day and not see one, as soon as she comes in the door the fur balls are everywhere...

She is a 7 week old black lab that is a cutie, she has yet to start her 2 year chew and destroy everything phase but she will just like her older brothers.

Because of her color, I though about naming her 110, she looks like she is covered with old hot oil and she leaks. ;D ;D
