Neal, we have had good luck using a heavy towel and tape. I see they may be a problem with your pups surgery. But maybe it will work for you.

THe towel is wrapped just tight enough to keep the head from turning too much, and it beats walking in doors and such with the cone.

Neal,
What did your vet say the cone was going to do for Tazz??  While he can't lick it- not like he could lick that area much anyway- he can certainly scratch the hell out of it.  Besides getting you for another $35, (and really pissing Tazz off!), what good is the cone doing???!!!???

Here's hoping you get good news and Tazz heals quickly.

Makes me hurt to look at it.

None of mine have ever been pleased with the bell either.

We've said a prayer for Tazz.  Hope it turns out well :2vrolijk_21:

Why is it I can stand anything the docs do to me, but when I see some poor animal looking like a jigsaw puzzle I get all mushy.

Sure do hope ole Tazz gets better soon Neal.

Neal...hope Tazz is feeling better and back to himself as quickly as possible.  They do hate the cones though...I think they're embarassed as much as anything.

Neil & Sue, the picture of Tazz breaks my heart, I'm sure not as much as yours. I hope for a good outcome for Tazz. His spirits look good. I love it when the Vet says you need to keep them quite and no running around (ha ha).

Those lamp shades are tough.  Specially when they try to sniff the ground in the winter and come in with it full of snow.  Coming up the steps with the head down it is a battle too.  By the time they get the hang of it, it's time for the cone to come off.

That is funny, never seen a dog climb a tree. He wants a tree fort, so he has a good perch to watch over the yard.
