No Problem, Barber is an awesome place, that man has put a ton of money out to make it first class.  We are getting ready to buy a home in Florida again, had a condo in Bradenton for about 9 years, sold it three months before the bottom fell out of the market.  To date it is the highest price unit ever sold in the complex, and I don't think they will ever get back to what they were.  I really feel for the guy that bought it 100% loan, he is so upside down that he will never recover.

Looking in Fort Myers area, kinda scary, homes that 3 years ago were in the 3's 0r 4'4 are below 100K or just over it some.  My Realtor told me whatever your wildest dream is it pretty much can come true in Florida now, it is a super buyers market.  Chinese drywall is a no no so we have to be very careful on what we buy and do our homework.
Perhaps when we get down that way we can hook up then.

What a beautiful lady.  We have often thought of adopting/resueing a Greyhound, do they need any special care and do they have any medical issues other than the normal things?

They are 45 mile an hour couch potatoes.  You have to watch what they eat.  We feed our girl 2 times a day and she gets about 1.5-2 cups of Purina One.  If you leave food out she will gorge herself.  I guess it comes from how they are raised. She is very loving, but isn't good with cats (she's 2-0 on them that wander into the yard).  Some are great with cats some have a stronger prey instinct with them.  Check with the shelter that you find the dog at (many shelters specialize in greyhounds and will know).  Nothing in particular just regular rabies shots, Heartguard, and Frontline.  She's been a very healthy dog.  She had mange when we got her that was misdiagnosed as a skin infection by the humane society and our own vet.  My wife finally asked that she be tested for mange and with a positive result we ended her suffering in a couple weeks.  Ever since then she's been a wonderful dog.  She even manages to sleep with us almost every night.  She starts off in her own bed but normally finds her way up in ours early in the morning around 2 or 3.  She also likes to sleep in our lap in the chairs.  I love greyhounds.  They are so mistreated the way they are raised for racing.  Most of the dogs are never good enough to race.  I can't believe more people don't keep them as pets.  I think a lot that don't make the cut end up euthanized.  They like it in the house and tend to get very cold in the winter.  We keep our baby in as much as possible in the winter and when we can't she wears a sweater and has a very warm dog house to get in.

They start off teasing her on the fence, then when they think she's in they mozy through the yard like the king of the world.  She's faster than they think.  From a stand still to top speed in only a few strides.  The cats can hardly react before they're done.  The second one was standing on the porch when my wife let her out to go to the bathroom one morning.  The dog got to the opening of the door, spotted the cat, they stared each other down for about 10 milliseconds and the cat made a run for it.  The dog covered the 10 foot lead in 2 strides and all my wife could do was shut the door.  She said it happened so fast and she felt so bad she cried.

Nice looking Greyhound.  Here's my baby boy. He was found after being put out in the woods as a puppy. When I saw him I had absolutely no intention of getting a dog at that time, but he won me over in a matter of minutes.

We also have 2 greyhounds. The cat that made it into our house through the doggie door never had a chance. We also have a black lab(the best damn dog in the world) who was probably sat back watching the greys thinking, you(cat) have no chance.

Hehehehehe... Nope (not on duty ) I don't know who it was that first said that "a dog has a rough life"... this one sure doesn't... he's spoiled rotten!!! He has to work (train) daily to get fed..... no work, no eat. Other then the daily training for food and being used for investigations he lays around the office and waits for someone to play with him.
