Bogart came through the surgery really well. They removed his spleen, which had a cancer mass between the size of a golf ball and a tennis ball. considering the little fellow only weighs 9.8-10.5 lbs (varies due to his eating habits) this was an incredibly large mass. We picked him up yesterday evening, and he was rambunctious...after being home for 1-2 hours, the pain started setting in. He moved around alot uncomfortable, unable to lie still. His face said everything, " I am sad..." Poor fellow didn't get any sleep last night (nor did we, felt so helpless).

Doc says within a few days he'll be himself again (instead of impersonating Don Knotts from the "Shakiest Gun In The West").

Really looking forward to having a healthy puppy again (o.k., so he's 14, but he still seems very puppy-ish)...

So to all my CVO family, may you and your pets be healthy and happy and live very long lives!

Zoey is on a diet and found a new dinner plate under the pear tree.  :huepfenlol2: Last weekend she ate 5 pears in one day, she has not done that since. She is waiting for the apples to start falling.

 Our newest member of the family...Archie. With Zoey in the back ground.
This sweet boy has came a long way in the last six months. He is a rescue dog and boy was he rescued. 6 months ago he weighed a mere 21 lbs at 5 yrs old. Most of his fur was gone, covered in fleas. He looks good now just skinny. The wonderful people at Hopes Haven in Salem Oregon brought him up to 85 lbs. We have a few more lbs to gain but that comes easy in our house.  ;D
