Talked with a friend last night about his trip to Deals Gap this past weekend.

Bad news,
He said around 4 to 5 Sunday evening a silver Screaming Eagle Fatboy hit a Land Rover in a curve on the Dragon and died.


That's very sad news.
I hope it wasn't one of our own.
Anyone know any more?

I went to search for an answer to your question, and although I did not find anything immediately, I did see on the Dragon web site this picture and blurb of a Floridian on the tail this past weekend riding a red SEEG;

Ken from Orlando Florida on one the best Harleys we've ever seen. This custom bike had all the glitter, guts (120 hp), and goodies (DVD/GPS screen in dashboard). Saturday July 2, 2005.

Sorry for the confusion, I am sure that Ken is fine.  What I meant was I was searching for any info on an accident last weekend in and around the area and on the actual Tail of the Dragon  web site, I saw a much happier note that Ken from Florida with his red SEEG caught the eye of the folks who run the website.

Feel bad for the guy on the fat boy. As far as if he was one of ours.....regardless if he was a member of this site or not, he was riding which definitely made him one of ours!!

That dash mounted screen is interesting.  The dash itself is extended up above the standard gauges to accommodate it (at least that's what it looks like from here).  Would love to see a closer up pic of the inner fairing and another of the bike's outer fairing to see what the beastie looks like.
