There problems are not only in York. I know a few long term employees
at the engine plant in Menomonee Falls, and they are saying the same thing.
They think the company has a great amount of problems all over. They ones
that have worked there over 15 years see no new equipment, or process
improvements as they have in the past. A lot of them are working 12 hour
days, because of equipment failures, and the "just in time" theory.
They say they used to batch parts, for just those reasons, now they
are always taring down, switching over, due to sortages. Some of them
think there won't be a changeover to a new engine soon, and IF so they
think it just might be in a "Right to Work" state.
