Extending Handle Bar Wiring Tool?
« on: August 13, 2012, 07:03:28 PM »

Hi Guys,
What tool is used to remove the wires from the plugs? Snap On TT600-3 for the 99 FXR3/3. The FXR4 uses a different type of connectors and the supliment manuel does not list a tool for the plugs. I think they are German made. I got a wire extension kit for my wiring that plugs into the existing wire and the extensions plug into the old plug, There is also heat shrink to place over the metal part of the wire extensions. I just don't know how to remove the connectors from the plug. What too is used or what are my options?
Thanks,
Ltank

I just used a cheap pick set bought at Sears, got a whole variety of shapes and sizes. got the job done a lot cheaper than Snap On, now I do agree a correct tool if I were doing a bunch of them, but for 1 set of bars? Sears was the way to go. just my $.02
