Objective Seat Question ...
« on: July 29, 2010, 09:11:04 PM »

I've started to shop for a new seat for my 2009 Fat Bob. My questions is, "what other Dyna model's seats will fit my bike?" It seems as if the "big" saddle companies don't break out the CVO models.

If any one is curious, I'd like to have a two piece saddle so when momma is not with me I can pop off the p pad for that solo look. I feel like I need to be further back by an inch or so and I'd like for a Harley removable backrest/luggage rack to fit with the p pad attached. One of the companies, Le Pera, offers "custom" stitching with color options for the stiched thread.

Thanks,
Scott

Try this web--I have one of their seats and really like it--Read the particulars on their seats because you can have any measurements you need, I had mine moved forward an inch ! Quality work and very nice folks !----------http://ccseats.com/

Tabatha,

What kind of saddle bags do you have? Taking a trip to Ocean City Bike Week in Sept. and looking for some extra room that's easy to take off (convinced the better half to take the Fat Bob instead of the Ultra) an am used to the extra luggage space.

Thanks,

Paul

I really can,t tell you what brand name they are. I got them from a friend and after a couple of tries at attaching them to my bike , I bolted them directly to my fender supports. This took away their ez on and off but they look almost like the H.D. aftermarket ones except I paid only $100.00 instead of $600.00 !  I've seen many throw over bags that look almost like mine---imagine you could use any of them and bolt to your fender supports as long as they have hard backs.

3 of 4:  Backrest is quick release.  Saddlebags are not quick release.

Rig w/ everything x/ pillion pad.  I dislike covering up all the Fire Quartz (the best part) on the rear fender.  I'm currently trying to fabricate a way to make my back rest so it will slide forward to support me while one-up then simply slide back when I need to go two-up.  I just keep the Pillion pad in a saddlebag.  Will let you all know how that turns out.

Thanks for the pictures ... that's what I'm trying to do with my bike. I really liked idea behind the CVO convertable, but I liked the Fat Bob better than the Softtail.
