got a pic with the shorter cone?

This is the only picture I could find with the lowers and shorter cone on the Skunk.  There is about 1/4 inch between the front of the filter and the glove box door.  If my bike was not in the shop I would take a better picture for you.  Maybe when I get it back latter this week.

Dave, nice meetin' you this past Saturday at SMHD.

Have to say, that Agitator filter/cover looks very good matching the agitator wheels.  I've seen a couple of these recently and has me thinking I may have to change my ventilator.  Would look sweet on that new scooter, Neal and you wouldn't have any issues with the lowers... :2vrolijk_21:

who has added lowers?

any issue with the heavy breather setup?

No, the filter element needs to be changed out to a shorter version. Yeah HD sells a shorter one, but there are bunches of other ones for cars that clamp down on a 3" tube, same as the SE Heavy Breather. I have one for a Mustang 5.0 V8 engine that works great!!! And there are even shorter ones if I want speakers on the lowers as well!!

Wonder if you can find an (atomic) orange filter?

Just a little story about why I changed to the SE HB AC, and different filter to keep lowers.
The one thing I would say is that I had the SE Ventilator AC when I went from 255's to a full SE Stage IV Race Kit, they were having a hard time getting enough air through it to break much past 100HP. I had the K&N filter in it and was cleaned even. I went strait to parts and found a 58mm TB ready Heavy Breather and then Ryan, my dyno tuning guy, installed it and then he tuned it fairly conservatively for no pinging and ok milage like all of the tunes I have had done in the last few years. (Gas got too high to ignore anymore.) Currently running 117hp/110tq with my 103

Howard it was very nice to meet you at SMHD.

I do like the agitator filter.  If I were to leave lowers on the Skunk all the time I would have one for it too.  But since they only only four months at most I just do the short cone.

I'm thinking about adding lowers as well to my skunk but really like the way the stock HB looks. However, I don't think there's anywhere near enough room to keep the stock HB with lowers. Has anyone modified the right-side lower to accommodate the stock HB? I don't need the storage it offers and would gladly sacrifice that by removing part of the lower storage pieces.

What about turning the HB 90 degrees CCW so it points upwards? I think it would look odd but may be one option to consider.
