This was a great project and lots of fun to build when the customer gives you pretty much an open check book. Lots more picture of the build during its progress are on the Metal Dragon Facebook page Here:
http://www.facebook.com/album.php?id=149174328441893&aid=60594#!/album.php?aid=60594&id=149174328441893

Paining was done by Unforgoton Customs, Frame and tins are "Hot Rod Black" pin striping is gloss black. Unforgoton has done lots of painting for us and has matched all the CVO colors we've needed.

He is 6'4", the frame has a 3" backbone stretch, controls are 2" forward. I am straight legged to reach the controls, he has a nice bend at the knees.

No competition...Jim has an eye for the little fine detail (things that the average rider would never even see) that Paulie can't even imagine.

Great job on the build Jim !  :2vrolijk_21: You definitely give the other builders a run for their money / business.

For comparison's sake between what you get with a pro like Jim and a shade tree mechanic like myself, I offer this  pic of a choppah I've been working on UPTA CAMP in Maine the past two summahs. Mostly used parts from swapmeets and what have you. Paint job is strictly rattle can. The whole idea was to see what I could get together for less than $15k. Under that even with the expensive wheels my bro HAD to have. Sorry about the poor pic quality, it was a quick shot with my phone. FYI- - I got the oil tank in after I took this picture. It's an old school Milwaukee Iron round style tank that the battery sits in the middle of. Just need to get the bike wired when I get back to Maine this spring and it should be up and runnin.

What a beautiful bike .... again .... nice job Jim!!!! Just a side note - At 6'4 it's all but impossible to find a scooter that actually fits. This is an understated feature of your build. Very very nice!!!!!   :yes:     :znotworthy:   :beerchug:

I knew you were getting to the end. Even though you're a forward moving guy, always a new project on the horizon, this one will be a little hard to let go of. The process of this build has been an adventure for Jim that he could share with those of us fortunate enough to get to call him "our mechanic (and catalogue librarian)" those of us fortunate enough to hang around the Metal Dragon as our machines were being worked on and who got to witness the evolution of the build from the frame up.

Guess we'll be seeing you today at or after breakfast.

Great job!

Where are the front turn signals?

Brian;
Looking good, I love the ol' school boober. Nice work!

Thanks Jim but it's a hack compared to the gorgeous ride you've built, although it does have a punched 100" motor, a 6 speed trans and H-D drag gears in the primary.  As I said, I posted a pic of it mainly to point out to folks that while they may have considerable mechanical skills and want to build their own, it takes a true professional to pull off the product you've made. My hat's off to you. Thanks by the way for the new pictures. My neck was sore from checking out the ones with Andy on it.
