Electrically Heated Clothing
« on: March 04, 2006, 11:40:59 PM »

Ok all you cold weather rider, I know some of you use heated clothing for cold weather riding. I'm looking at Gerbings clothing & controllers. Anyone have any input on Gerbings or other brand. I saw a post somewhere but can't seem to find it.

I have the Gerbing jacket and the G3 gloves.  I use the jacket quite a bit, the glove rarely get used.  That being said, they're both very good and I'd recommend them

Found these and a couple other threads using the search.

I use the Gerbing and am totally happy with it.  I incorporated the BMW style plugs......had a bracket custom made that mounts directly under the seat pan, to the frame.....then had it powder coated.  It's all pretty handy.  My biggest thing is remembering to unplug when I shut the bike off and start to get off of it.  Doesn't take but a second to be reminded.  [smiley=worthless.gif]I have the Gerbings jacket liner, gloves, pants and thermostat. I've had them for better than four years and I've only used the pants once. Quality stuff. A must have for the cold climate riders. For me it has extended my riding season considerably. This past year I didn't put my bike away for the winter. I was able to get a couple of rides in each month with the gear.
