Got my new Ruby red beauty yesterday. What a long day. Left Bowling Green Ky. at 11:00 pm on Friday night arrived at Bleu Bayou H-D in Monroe, LA. at 9:20 am. The guys and gal at Bleu Bayou were ready for me with all the paperwork ready to go. New bike oreintation and also ordered a tour pak and hardware. Loaded the bike in the trailor and back on the road at 11:30 am Saturday morning. Got back home in Kentucky at 10:00 pm Sat. night. App. 1100 miles and 20+ hours driving. Cleaned on the bike a little this morning and it was time to ride. I did not mention that this is my first Harley and it was worth the 10+ years of waiting and saving. Got to put on about 85 miles before the triple digit temperatures hit. Cruise control is awesome, no more numb hand. This is a great bike. I will need to change the windshield. My glasses and head took a lot of wind.
I am a very happy and lucky guy. Thanks again to my wife.
Take Care and ride safe.
