I have the Quest ll with the motorcycle mount.
The mount is for a 1" handlebar. Worked on the Classic and SEEG and Lowrider
The Frontier has 1" 1/4 bars.
Where or who has a mount that I can get that will fit the 1" 1/4 bar?
Any ideas? [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

I'm gonna take a leap of faith here and assume the brkt is made from billet stock. Take it to a machine shop and ask them to resize the hole to 1 1/4" Shouldn't cost you more than $25 for their time.

Great thought Spiderman,
but wrong
Damn thing is cast aluminum.
How do I know that?
Just broke the old one. >:(
So now I have to buy a new 1" and find a 1" 1/4
But thanks for trying!

If Spiders suggestion is not feasible, another alternative is Techmount's chrome Mini-Mount w/chrome mounting plate. Great product!!! Several of us here on the site are using this mounting system for GPS and/or radar detectors. Call them...they now offer the AMP mounting bolt pattern, depending on what type of cradle you have for the unit.

I have the Quest 2 and found the perfect mount, the H-D mount. I threw that p.o.s. H-D Quest 1 in the trash, bought the Quest 2 and it fits perfectly in the mount / holder. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] Both units are exactly the same size but vastly different in their abilities and functions.

Thanks TC
Didn't see any bar mounts for an 1" 1/4 bar that match up to the Quest mount!

Thanks MJZ
Will pick one up at the local shop!

Here's the 1 1/4" mount.
I thought it was expensive at 80 bucks but the kit included earphone hook-up.
Worked good on the Frontier,,, even as hard as I shook it :o :o

And here is the 1" bar mount.

Or maybe 1 more of the 1 1/4 bar mount,

Silver-black did you get the 1 1/4 mount from techmount pt#30999?
-
Chip, just a suggestion if you ever find yourself using that 1" mount again. On the red bike with the 1.25" bars I've got a u-bolt type mount like you used for the 1" bar. Think about putting a thickness or two of heat shrink tubing on the bolt to eliminate the metal to metal contact. Have seen a couple of handlebars that had permanent marks coming from that contact.
