Post by: donvito on December 02, 2014, 01:39:40 AM
Does anyone know if the 2015 LED headlights would fit in a 2012?

They will not.  See:  Daymaker Reflector LED Headlamps (http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?topic=98273.0)

The 2013 Daymaker LED which is not a reflector style is a much better light, had them on my 12 Skunk.  My 15 RGU has the new style, they do not light up the side of the road as well, straight line is about the same.  The new ones just have a much narrower beam.

I am not sure yet.  Harley has some new LED's out that mount on the engine guards even with the lowers in place.

I've got these on my 11.5 CUSE6, bought them from Kuryakyn. They mount to the fender bolts and the bulbs can be upgraded to LED if desired. I installed them to add some lighting below and off to the sides after installing the HD Daymaker headlight and spots.  I left the H3 bulbs in them to let the light "spill" into the desired areas especially off to the sides of the roadway and the area directly in front of the bike which is left in the dark shadows with the LED headlight.

Yours has a "hood" around the light which I bet focuses the light just a little more than the ones pictured from HD. I have a set I made (dyna ts housing with led inserts) that I had on my '11 I planned on putting on this new bike until I saw these. It's a toss up at the moment. I'll probably just reuse mine and mount then to the caliper like I had before. These new LED lights on the new shark sure don't have the spread pattern like my old headlights which were stock housings with PIAA bulbs.
