It's easy as 1-2-3.

1.  Heat with heat gun
2.  Run fishing line between fork leg and reflector
3.  Remove residue with Goof Off

Step #1 is optional, but makes it easier.

Great idea with the fishing line... Much better choice than a screwdriver

With a good heat gun and strong finger nails you can just pull the damn things off :huepfenjump3:.

True dat.  The heat softens the adhesive, then if you have tough fingernails just pry up on one end until it comes loose enough to get a good grip, pull it off.  If you prefer the fishing line idea but don't happen to have fishing line, dental floss will also do the job.  If there is some adhesive residue, try applying some packaging tape to the area, press firmly, then pull the tape off.  Repeat as necessary. This is how I always deal with stickies and other stuff before I resort to chemicals like Goof-Off.

Don't have a heat gun?  I let my SESG sit in the afternoon sun a bit and used a large, wide blade screwdriver that I covered with a soft towel.  Once I had the reflector started, I didn't need the screwdriver anymore and after sitting in the hot sun, the reflector came off by hand and clean with no residue and no scratches.  Everyone has a different way of doing it and no way is the best as they all work so use what works for you and go from there... :2vrolijk_21:
It looks so much better without the reflector...

No heat gun. I simply grabbed a good hold and ripped it off. I'll never use it again anyway. Then just rubbed off the sticky stuff. Took me about 10 minutes.

A friend debadges all of his cars. On paint he only uses a hair dryer. He said a heat gun is too hot.

I used waxed dental floss.  Just saw back and forth and it comes off smoothly!

If you want it spicy :pepper:, use the cinnamon, otherwise it doesn't matter.  Mint is better during the winter time, also (hence, the name wintermint)! :huepfenlol2:

Another perfect example of why I must continue to read these posts. I would never have known this and could have messed up big time by trying to use plain old floss.
