Harley on American Chopper 5/10
« on: May 11, 2004, 08:46:01 AM »

Last night I am watchinig American Chopper and about half way through, Paul Sr comes riding into the shop on a new Harley.  Then he goes and gives it to Paul Jr.  They would never give a sustained or good shot of the bike.

They spoke about the 103" motor and talked about how HD put everything imaginable on the bike.  It was a pretty cool two toned scheme.

Do you think it was the 2005 SEEG???  I just could not believe they made it such a part of the story line and then would not give a good shot of the bike on TV.

Thanks for the update.  I just found it weird that they never gave a good look at the bike.

BTW, I still watch it but the Liberty Bike made me think that their 15 minutes is up...however, will Justin get his own show?  He did do a nice paint job on the Dixie Chopper.  How long until Junior sends his new ultra over there for some color?

I still watch because I love the mechanical aspects of the show. But the dynamic between Dad and the rest id really getting old...plus you can see how the fame has changed their outlook...Hummers...Prowlers...Ultras as gifts...Snap-On everywhere. I don't begrudge them their success.. but the show's format is getting stale and  the bikes are pretty much all the same. [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

I agree that it may be getting a little stale, but frankly, I am still going to whatch.  Why?  Because it beats watching a show where they take a girl that is a "Strong 2" and with three months of plastic surgery, major dental resonstruction, dermatologists, personal trainers, and a dietician turn her into a "Solid 4" and try to tell the world she is now beautiful and ready for a beauty pagent is just not in the cards to be watched by me.

The reality show craze is just getting ouot of hand.  Late at night when I need to do my mandatory "remote control clicker frenzy", if I have to watch something, it might as well be about motorcycles.

As for Justin (the painter) getting his own show, I doubt it, but I will bet if you find out more about him, he has divulged in some of his new found fourtune and fame by the American Chopper show.

Smitty,

Everything is coming along fine.  I got the cast off about 6 days ago and I am walking around now.  Walking slow, but at least I am walking.

I called the HD dealer and they told me that I still have about 6 -10 weeks to wait for the newly painted sheet metal from HD.  He said getting painted parts has become rediculous to get these days.

I am looking forward to getting the bike back in the stable and taking that first ride!

I will keep you posted and thanks for asking!
