    • CVO1: FLHTCUSE7 in Electric Orange and Black Diamond accented with H-D's Big City Lights Graphics...how did the MoCo come up with a description like that?
The One Most Single Item You Like Best on Your CVO
« on: November 18, 2011, 09:07:26 AM »

Please keep it down to the "One Most Single Item You Like Best on the CVO" (excluding the 110 engine or the special paint).  Also a few lines of why you like it best...so your "one" item please?

Mine is:

My 2012 FLHTCUSE7 has the handlebar control wiring inside the handlebars...factory installed.

I have done this to all my bikes...so I was thrilled when I saw it done from the factory...it really cleans up the handlebar area.

Well... the special paint is what got me to buy it... but since you rule that one out I have to say the handlebars.  On my previous bike I had to get the heritage styled handlebars to improve riding position.  On the CVO, with these handlebars, the riding position for me is perfect.  Great to be able to have a comfortable riding experience right from the showroom floor.

DEFINITELY the 400-watt, 8-speaker sound system with the built-in iPod interface on this bad boy! My friends call my bike a "rolling rock concert", "traveling jukebox", etc. :2vrolijk_21:

I was at a riding group mini-rally last weekend in FL, and everyone was just standing around talking. Then some of the ladies "suggested" that I pull the bike out front in the common area at the hotel and crank up the tunes... so I did. Started out with Hells Bells, and it went downhill from there. Cranked up the volume to get everyones' attention on that song, then backed it off to a more reasonable decibel level. That got the party into high gear, and people started dancing in the parking lot by the bike. I think it may have pissed off a few old farts in the process... but that was just a bonus!

Hydraulic clutch. I was surprised to not see it on any of the other baggers.

The shear smoothnest of the ride itself... at any speed.  These Alaskan roads have been busting my shocks on all my trucks, off-road and premium gas, and seemed to punish the Wide Glide pretty harsh at times.  "Sheila" just takes it with a grin, and simply says 'bring it on, I've got this'.  8)

While I know there's a great big difference in the ride comfort between a Wide Glide and an Ultra Classic, the CVO still outperforms many of the standard Ultras, as most of my friends up here that had previously owned Ultras before they upgraded to their CVO Ultras, have all said pretty much the same thing.

Oh, and my wife simply loves the ride... so much so, she was willing to ride with me on my Million Mile Monday this year.  We logged in 840 miles inside of 19 hours straight and she never complained once.   8)

I don't know if the SEEGs have the spring rear shocks like my SESG does - but they make all the difference in the ride and the handling over the stock rear air shocks on the non-CVOs. You can turn them to preload as much as you want, from 0 to 19, I think. I have mine set at 9, and the ride is great.
