Not the most observant!
« on: March 18, 2005, 09:33:51 AM »

Noticed last night that the rear floorboards are backwards...so I looked at my own pic taken last year just after delivery and they were originally correct.

I have had the bike in the shop for two things, replace the peeling-chorme rear wheel and a 5K service.  Why would they have the boards off?

Either that or someone is playing a joke on me!

It'd be easier to service the primary fluid/chain/clutch with the left board off... although entirely not necessary.

I can't think why the right...  [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

Ok y'all (that is again - all of you, every last one of you) No one is allowed to switch my floor boards in the Valley. I have no passenger floorboards and if I have my right foot on a left board and right foot on a left board I am going to feel like the sky is below me and the ground above me and this may be a very disconcerting feeling.

Look at the forward lean all around it, the pipes, the saddlebag guards...

That's a heck of an idea. The biggest problem I have w/ passenger boards is them striking my calf. Let us know how they work and I might also try switching them. Thanx.

Screamin, I don't have my passenger floor boards on at all. If you ride solo, what good are they?

I thought about removing mine also, Mrs.We, but there's something basically wrong with REMOVING chrome. [smiley=shocked2.gif]

Now I will gladly buy the chrome peice that lets me reinstall the large chrome passenger floorboards, but against the bike, not in the way of my legs while backing up.   [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

But we were counting on you hauling the wounded around...was it Laker with the blown ankle?

What kinda 'cute chrome covers' did you find for the rear floorboard mounting points? [smiley=blank.gif]

Looks like WFP and I are the only ones with correctly mounted pax boards.
Never noticed other scoot's mounts.

Classic Chrome Brake Caliper Insert HD part # 44477-99 (One on both sides to cover the holes left by my removing the passenger floorboards. I can't back the bike up with the boards in the way)

I supplied the link to my homepage, which has a photo of my seat on my bike.  http://flhrsei.org/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=eg_gen;action=hpview;member=Mrs._WeCVO scroll down just a wee little bit, the seat is the first picture I have about my add ons.
Now if you want to see someone sitting on folded towel between the rails that go around my solo seat and the tourpak, I need a small person to put there and have a picture taken. Are you volunteering?
I don't know anyone that small, or that desperate. If you want to meet halfway between where we both live - Maybe Faifax, VA, How about the Saturday of their open house, April 16.  Lugnut57 will be there too. H [smiley=laugh.gif] [smiley=nixweiss.gif] [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]e and are meeting and riding to that open house together.  My husband has my digital camera though, can you bring yours?

There are lots of pins on the members map in MD and N.VA.  How about getting out for an informal meet. How many Candy Cherry Reds can we get lined up for a photo????

I saw Lugnut57's passenger floorboards mounted like this, and it looks real good.  WFP, great suggestion.
