Assuming the stock SEEG light bar stays the same you don't need a lens to do that job.  The "down light" is on the bottom side of the tail light bar.  To answer the question though; no, never seen a lense with the license plate light shining down.

Kuryakyn do a LED laydown smoked tail light (#4974)  - you might be able to mask off the plate illumination.

I have one at home (that I need...) I will check tonight to see if it's do-able

Cheers

Never saw that either.  Everyone builds to the standard expected configuration since that configuration is so predominant.  The upward shining light just gives you some neat shadow effects under the tour pak.  Consider it a bonus.

Custom chrome makes one (smoked) that does have a top window.  The window is pretty small, (just put one on Frankinserk) and it looks great.  I imagine with a red bulb in it it would be fine.  Looks cool.

Haven't seen one with the license illumination at the bottom.

I just did an LED conversion for my SEEG.  Worked with Custom Dynamics for the stuff.  Mailed them pics of my taillight lens and they could not find a single supplier that had a standard, laydown or low profile lens that has the top license plate lens eliminated or redded out.
I had to dremel out my old reflector and rebuild it with the LED cemented in.  Bit of a chore but you wouldn't know I had done it....except when the lights are on!!   [smiley=banana.gif]

Would have loved to find a laydown or lowprofile in Red.....Maybe talk to Kuryakyn at Daytona next week.

Yep, it would be real easy to mask off the upward light from the LEDs in the Kuryakyn tail light and I think you would hardly notice the window was there.

There are 8 little surface mount LEDs and they could be covered with just a piece of tape - they don't get hot so no problem there

Cheers

Thanx Dave! [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]
