How do you think vivid black lowers would look on the skunk Road Glide?  I am wondering if it is close enough to the skunk black to not really matter....

I think they will look out of place... you do not get the metallic finish from the black in the rest of the bike... I suggest matching set, do it right man...

Agree, not a good place to "get cheap". Too nice a bike and visable a spot for that

if the deal is that good, you could always have them repainted.  I got a reasonable quote from joe at xtreme dimension to where its cheaper for me to ship my denim black lowers to him to have painted

I have vivid black lowers on my skunk.  You really can not tell the difference.  They catch so much dirt and road debris that perfectly painted ones look the same as vivid black if you ride 10k or more a year.

You could also go with straight white gold pearl (08) ultra color.  Or have them custom painted.

I have the Vivid Black also on my skunk, and not a soul has commented negatively on them. I put the quick connect kit on them so in the summer I pop them off. Love having them there in the winter.

Except in very bright sunlight, no one will ever know. Also you will only use them when cooler, I assume? So who cares, black cheaper to buy and also easier to sell when you trade bikes.

Well I think gpopvet is doing the blk & wht on his, which should be something special.

I actually leave mine on year round and now that I see the color matched set on the bike I am very happy I went that route..  I do think the plain black would have stood out like a sore thumb.

Now me personally the selling point you made is not an issue for me as this is a drop in the bucket in the grand scheme.  I do not think about resale mostly because I tend to hold onto my bike for many years and I generally try to get them just how I want them in the first year or so, that way I can have the most enjoyment out of the bike, more bang for the buck so to speak.  Maybe bang for the buck is not the right phrase but I think you know what I mean.
