Garage door opener
« on: October 19, 2014, 07:37:24 PM »

Ok have new rg I programed the garage door opener every thing works great. That is until you back down the driveway and start the engine and leave.  When I come home the garage door is open.  When I start the engine I guess it does what the High low light switch does and sends a signal to open the door.   Anyone have this problem. I have had  and have 4 bikes and none of them did this  with the same door module ( the one that connects to the opener).   I have a rocker and fatboy now both will not do this.  Anyone else have that problem or solution.  ps nothing blocking the sensors on the garage door today me and my wife went riding the door was shut as soon as i started the bike she said the door is opening.

My old garage door opener went bad a few weeks ago. I replaced it and now I can't program it.  I try to set it and nothing happens.   Any ideas?

Must be the Gremlins this week.  My receiver just took a crap after just replacing it bout 3 months ago.
The first one which lasted forever from my 08 CVO Ultra went in an electrical storm.  This one I had from my 11 CVO ultra
which I had not used till recently went out for no known reason this week.
Don't think i am going to buy another from harley thats for sure.

Easy Peasy! Start your bike before you close the garage door.  Problem solved and it didn't cost you a dime!  :huepfenjump3:

I have not had it happen, but my bike is always running before I close the door.

The flash to pass will operate the door.  Makes it even easier

I'm wondering if you connected the power lead to the low beam instead of the high beam. Bet that would cause what you are seeing.

Mine works fine as well on the new scoot (old receiver) but I too always have my bike running before I hit the switch to close the door.

i run with high beam on I was thinking when i start the bike it cuts it on and off setting off the door.   Yes I will start  the bike before I close the door now.

Your right if you start the bike with high beam on it will activate the opener. If you use your high beam to open the door just put it back on low beam till you leave then go to high beam down the road.
