CVO 113 build
« on: October 22, 2014, 10:16:37 AM »

113 kit 10.4 compression
GMR 577 cam
GMR lifters
Fullsac C head pipe
Fullsac mufflers with 1.75 core
Stock T/B
Stock CVO air cleaner
TTS black tuner
Barnett HD spring for the clutch.. Clutch was not doing great and was slipping out till 2700 or so. Customer is aware that clutch upgrade will be needed. He drove from Baton Rouge on friday and it was set up for a cam swap and head gasket ,valve spring swap. We found the intake and ports, pistons tops coated in oil. So swapped a 113 kit onto it and used what we had to work with. Larger baffles would really wake it up. But the ex is very quite. And customer is happy.. SO that is all that matters,  Killer tq curve and really very nice numbers for no trick parts.

Steve, that's a crazy-flat TQ curve! I like that it reaches within 7-8% of peak by the low 2000s, and only falls off by that amount by the crossover.

Very impressive!

Could you please post the specs on your 577 cams? I'm particularly interested in the exhaust duration, as I run a Drago's Dragula and I'm curious as to their performance with a 2-1 pipe. Do you have any customers running your 577s with a 2-1?

Thanks.

Ken

In a perfect world sure head work larger TB . However the build corrected the oil usage, and we used what we had at hand to keep the price some what in check.  For the budget vs gains its a winner. And always has the potential to produce more power with some minor changes we swapped one muffler .. ( just the right side) and saw a 4 %+ gain in power.

I would think a smaller pipe would raise the numbers but that is with a larger borezilla pipe. And we did not tune it so out side testing is always a great way to verify your finding . But you get the point

Fair enough  but when all you see is the rear of mine  hard to tell any one how ugly you think they are..  More so to see how a land barge feels with a big inch motor.. No need for IV high output head or some other work. Bolt the 124 directly in and go out and have fun.. OR let us build you a 113 kit and be able to out run 98% of all the other baggers. and the 113 tq wise is a stout engine and able to take on most 124 until the big end mph or hp game.
