2013 Road King CVO - Stage 1 and which exhaust pipes ?

I ordered a SERK '13 that will be manufactured by end of February '13 and shipped to France somewhere in March...
In the mean time I was wondering which exhaust pipes and air cleaner unit (brand and type) will best fit with a stage 1?
The dealer here proposes Vance and Hines exhaust pipes.
I'm looking for pipes that allow best performance (torque and HP) but that are not too loud.
On my previous bike I had some screemin' eagle II and finally it turned out that they were too loud, especially when cruising on the high way.
How much torque and HP will the bike end up with after such a mod.?

Uh, long long wait...  :o

For tuning I'll switch my Dynojet Power Vision from 2008 FLHRCI to FLHRSE5. It's *the* top product.
I' still balancing about exhaust, I've already ordered 2/1/2 ceramic head pipe and may keep my 4" Fuel moto Jackpot mufflers (loud when you ...), or give a go to CFR (louder, but livin' and cruisin' in the country).

You should have a look to other Fuel moto exhausts and products, good quality, good service (Jamie), dyno tuned...

I'll keep air filter unchanged.

Not sure what HP/TORQ you will wind up with, I will let you know after I get mine dynoed this spring.  I have a 2013 FLHRSE5 and I put Vance and Hines slip on (performance) on and they do not seem to be too loud.  I have run V&H on other CVOs I owned and they seem to do the job.  I put a HD race tuner on the bike which will allow me to adjust after doing any modifications.  As for the aircleaner, It is a stage 1 high flow aircleaner and should have to be changed.

The 2013 CVO Road Kings have a high flow air cleaner and it does not have to be changed.

If you only change the mufflers of the exhaust system you should be ok with just that.  However a tuner and remap would help lower heat and improve performance

If you also change the head pipe you will need a tuner device to remap the fuel.

The head pipe has a cat converter in it.

Thanks Dave for these information.
My HD dealer also says that this mod is gonna reduce the heat generated.
And the air cleaner doesn't have to be changed as it is a HP one.
He's proposing V&H pipes and it's good to hear that some bikers have good experience with them.

I have the Vance and Hines Power Duals, Vance and Hines Monster Ovals and the SERT on my 13 CVO Ultra.  The heat is tolerable and I like the sound. I have had no issues with them in the 2,000 miles I have put on so far.  I know many members here really like the Fulsac setup as well.

I have had good luck with V&H, 'have V&H on 2 of my bikes, I like the looks, performance and sound. FuelMoto is a header that I would look into also.

On your '13, you really want to take off the catalytic converter, if your laws allow.
more performance, LESS HEAT.

You should also look into a tuner, more performance, LESS HEAT.

The Ventilator AC will be fine with a K&N filter element in it.

Those are good numbers.  I have the same set up but only a base map right now and no dyno until I put on some break in miles.

Yes that was a typo, the air filter is a stage 1 and won't need to be changed.  Question- several of you said to get rid of the head pipe and the cat converter- is that legal to do?  And will a HD dealer do that?  I thought there were fines for taking that off?  I like the duno numbers but I hope to do some work that will put out 110 HP, anyone out there doing that much work to thier motors?

On my 2013 the bike was broken in on the dyno, then tuned with H-D supertuner.
The peak numbers were done after pipes, etc.
No baseline though, so I only know tuned HP and Torque........

New guy here,

I hope to be picking my SERK here this week.   Been trying to find an exhaust that is cost affective and yet gives me the sound that I am looking for.   I have not heard them in person but if they sound like this video then I am sold.

Try the Fullsac head pipe and the baffles that go in you're stock mufflers.  Looks 100% stock and sounds great plus gets rid of cat. Performs very well.
