This dealer in Gainesville has a 2011 road glide limited cvo for sale. I’ve never seen this paint before. Has anyone else seen this one? Thanks
-
Yes. It's called the skunk. Search that term here.

I’ve seen the skunk. That’s a 2012 though. The skunk is black and white. The one in the pic is white and gray. Maybe the previous owner repainted it.

That is not factory CVO paint.

VIN (from the dealer's images) reports to a 2011 CVO Road Glide. Agreed paint doesn't match the 2011s though. Closer to the 2012 skunk, but it's more homage than match to that too.

Custom paint by someone. Doesn't look like any of the sets that year.
-
It's not CVO paint, its a Harley limited edition paint set that came out in 13 or 14 I believe.

That's what I thought also Dave. Early to mid decade was my thought too. But I couldn't find any examples in old Harley cites or eBay or elsewhere to support my recollection. When it came out I even remember (at least I think I do) thinking someone like the Skunks well enough to to do it again.

I agree. That's a custom paint set that was offered years ago. Not sure how or why the dealer wouldn't say so. Probably anything to make a sale. One of the cvo colors that year was a brown/cream combo. Don't see many of those. But that's not it. Stuart. :nixweiss:

My brother in law has the exact paint on his Fat Boy as yours.
If it is a factory limited paint set, it will have a number and Harley emblem as to which set it is. Like number 220 of 300. It is usually on the rear of the tank side. Right side I believe.
After looking at the photo's on the link above, there are no numbers on the rear side of the tank.

So I happened to be Florida to visit my daughter, so I stopped in to Gainesville HD to do the bike in person. It’s a nice looking paint. The guys there said it was a limited paint, but I didn’t see a number any where. He said he hasn’t seen one in 8years of working there either. He said harley offered limited paint in the 11,15, & 16. They also have a ‘21 snake venom road glide that was a 114 and they installed a 131 kit and new bars and grips. $43,000
