Can get little more with a cam ,but I was very happy with this set up,flawless running bike,Heath at H&D Cycles great tuner.I'm sure Doc will agree with this
-
had that d&d set up on my 07 with ghost pipe it was around 250.00 with a hollow muffler and a fake pipe to the rear cyl y conn, How much is the ghost pipe now???, im sure the old cross over pipe under the frame can be reused again with the new hollow left side "muffler"

CJ,
Looks great....which baffle did you get???? I'm thinking of the CCT baffle for mine. :jalapeno:
later,
jim
-
Thanks Jim :2vrolijk_21: I went with the standard baffle which is a Little bit louder than the concentric quiet baffle. The Performance Baffle is extremely loud so i pick the middle one.
-
I just talked with D&D and they said with the 110 to use the Big Bore Unwrapped baffle. :nixweiss:

Yep :2vrolijk_21: Thats what Lenard said, Thats the middle one.
-
Thanks for all the information...I'm going with the perforated wrapped baffle. As per Leonard.
But black of course. :coolblue:
:jalapeno: :jalapeno:
Jim
-
you need the standard.....rapped baffel concetric is no good for the 110
-
The wrapped perforated baffle is in the middle of the baffles. I talked with Leonard @ D&D. He said to use that with the CVO 110.
:jalapeno:
thanks
Jim
-
yes....had the standard.........changed to concentric .......felt a power loss........called d and d said to change back....feels better .......I have no tune.......they said no need for 1 put on dyno with 0 miles air flow was good....need to dyno for HP........Keith.......4800 miles no problems

Which baffle is the quitest on the D & D ? Yet gives you the more power. I had enough noise to last me a lifetime. I like the sounds of my fullsacs but I'm looking to get a little more tourque.......................Fuzz

I have the plain quiet baffle on my 09 SEUC with a D&D Fatcat Rich.
Parked inside Neals garage along side d00d's bike and both running, I had to check mine to hear if it was still running.
But I'm not sure a pipe change will give you much more than the FS pipes.

Thanks Chip,...........................Rich
Rich
And let me add,
The bike runs great, it's over a 100 ft/lbs. at 2200 rpm.
You know know that old saying, if it's to loud then your to old?
I could see buying the loud pipe and then having to spend 5,6 or 700 dollars to upgrade the stereo to hear it over the pipe.
Damn, I guess I am getting old.
But luckly the older I get, the faster I like to go.
So there are trade off's.

I have the D and D FatCat with ghost pipe on my 09 SERG and LOVE it, quite when you want which isn't too often but amazing loud too. Produced good numbers. My problem is now, I am sitting here with that great bike and my 11 RG Ultra is in and this pipe won't work on the new bike, O2 sensors in wrong locations, so I have to see about getting new headpipe to continue to use it.

Good looking ride CJ...
Guys there are only a few choices for the D&D Fat Cat baffles.
Louvered Baffle (louder)
Louvered Wrapped Baffle (loud)
Big Boar Baffle (LOUDEST)
Big Boar Wrapped Baffle (Even freak'n louder)
They claim the Big Boar baffle is very loud, even the wrapped model. They also say the Big Bore is recommended for > 107 CI motors. From what I've read and seen on dynos the louvered wrapped baffle provided the best low end grunt (read torque) of the D&D baffle line.
For my riding style and cycle my choice was the louvered wrapped baffle for my 08 CUSE. I'll have my motor buttoned up in a week or so and we'll see just how snappy that cat is.
-
I have the quiet baffle in my Boarzilla and it's plenty loud but I like it. ;D I have heard Hogasm's (Brian) a few years ago and it was way loud but deeep. I don't know about now but his front wheel was off the ground alot back then. :huepfenlol2: I figure he gets alot of miles on a front tire. :huepfenlol2:
-
ive had d&d with quet baffle, but lately im thinking reinhart 2-1 sounds almost the same, there isnt a lot of power separating the 2 either on the dyno

Beautiful. TTS Tuner and good choice on the Fat Cat :)

After several months of tring to to decide which system to go with Rhinehart True Dual or the D&D Fat Cat i had decided to go with D&D with the Big Boar unwrapped which i thought was the loudest and now you say the BB wrapped is the loudest, Now i'm back to square 1 :confused5:. Loud does not bother me because none of the above are as loud as what i'm running now (107db at idle) I'm just tring to find something with a deeper tone and not quiet as loud, Just deep. :nixweiss: :nixweiss:
-
In realitive terms it goes; loud, louder, loudest. When I said "Even freak'n louder" I'm saying it's louder than the already louder baffle but still not the loudest. My bad.
So yes, the Big Boar (bore) is the loudest baffle D&D currently makes at this time. It's made for modified engines wanting max high RPM performance.
I also noted on there is a Concentric baffle now for the 2010/11 bikes. This is for stock engines.
I like the the D&D pipes. They are deep and you can't beat the performance.

Borezilla is the loudest and are the ones for the Big Inch motors, The Big Boar wrapped or unwrapped we can run on these 110"

Yes it is the loudest, on the D&D Borezilla exhaust. The subject is Fat Cat.
-
I know exactly what the subject is, Before you jump in my chit maybe you need to go back and read what i highlighted, second paragraph: It states that the Big Boar is only for modified high RPM motors, These 110 are not high RPM or Modified, according to D&D this is a baffle that can be used in the 110 without losing any TQ or HP like you would with the Bordzilla.

Hey Chip, did you re-wrap your baffle yet? I thought mine was starting to get
louder, and D&D said the packing should last 30/35K before re-wrapping.
I may just do mine this winter, even though I only have 25k on it.

No sir I haven't.
Sound hasn't changed any or if it has it is very little.
I installed it at 600 miles on the bike and now have 45,000.
Good luck with yours!
