A $.04 cent profit vs the actual $.60 per share loss.  Maybe they should rename their restructuring "Haywire?"

Loved reading the whole report!  Again, nothing about building a better motorcycle,  just maximizing  profits! I liked the statement about  2020 bikes selling at MSRP.

From the article:

"Rewire" and seeks to refocus the company on is core products and heritage.

Does that mean t-shirts and clothing?

Also they said:

Zeitz said that Harley intended to exit underperforming global markets to concentrate on North America.

I thought they were focusing on overseas markets to make up for their shrinking market here.

More word-smithing from an executive trying to appease institutional investors...HD returning to its “core products and heritage.”  So, can we conclude for the past decade HD has been focusing elsewhere?  If you sell motorcycles as your business and you’ve been focused somewhere else, we may have identified the problem.

Local dealer still has a boatload of new 2018s in the showroom (didn't visit, per their email newsletter).

Wow.  Where is this?  Those bikes will be three years old soon.

Had reason to drive by the local dealership this past Saturday, based on the parking lot and after you subtract the employee's vehicles, I estimated about three customers were on the premises for one thing or another.  Ten years ago the parking lot would have been full pretty much all day.  Meanwhile, the indy shop a few miles away had plenty of used bikes and customs out front and what looked like about a dozen customers on hand.  I don't think the problem is as much about fewer riders, as it is about about overpriced low quality and poor reliability crap.

Hey, maybe they could tape to the back seat of all the unsold 18's the new style oil pump & plate, the primary vent kit and an extra set of rotors!  That might get them started moving off the showroom floor!

Different areas must be way different.  Our local dealer only has 2020 bikes or used bikes.  He is also low on the 2020 bikes.

If you are referring to Smoky Mountain HD they are an exception as far as dealerships go because they really stand out against most of the others. I would have to say that they are the best HD dealership that I think I have ever been to as a traveling customer.
