Installation was a breeze!
No issues whatsoever with fitment.......you guys with gunship grey or the orange one will have paint matching issues to deal with if you install lowers but im sure you already know that. Bottom line though is they fit with no problems and have at least as much if not more fender to lowers/engine guard clearance as with the chopped engine guard.
I have about 400 miles on it with some of it being in strong wind conditions and experienced no more handling issues than with my previous RG.
I am completely stumped as to why the MOCO says they wont fit with knockout front wheel.
I have my bike apart now installing the fullsac stuff.....baffles, tech mat kit, catless pipe, and tune.
Only other issue I may deal with is suspension. This bike is reeeeeeally on the firm side......rear is same shocks as came on my 12 rg but vastly more rough. Front end is very firm...21 inch tire feels every fluctuation in road surface. Im seriously considering the ohlins 30 mm cartridge kit inthe front and blacklines on the rear and going to standard ride height front and rear. Ill think on it while I put some more miles on it.
All in all though......I truly love this bike! Far and away better than my 12.
I almost hate to install the fullsac baffles.....I can really hear the stereo well at 75 and kind of enjoyed the nice quiet ride. Guess im gettin old.

Saw mine yesterday with lowers and trunk, matching passenger floor boards. Are you changing out the head pipe? I like the Titanium pipes, but limits what you can do. I dont think anyone makes anything with same finish.

It won't be as loud as you may think. The M8 is a quiet motor.

Fullsac header and 2 1/4" baffles and my girl asked if I changed the exhaust because it was so quiet!!

actually, with the gunship grey there should be no paint matching difficulties.  just order the ones from the gunship grey street glide.

Interesting! I had completley overlooked the fact that the cvo street glides come in grey and orange......if they arent part protected I guess you could order those if you have one of those color road glides.
I tried to order some tank badges from a grey one the other day and since my black earth doesnt have them they wouldnt let me have them.

Yes im putting on a catless headpipe from fullsac but will use the stock heat shields.....not sure what that color is called but im ok with it. The dark alloy cvo street glide has those same heat shields but also has matching fork sliders.

I have looked into it.  Just over 1800 dollars after you buy all the parts needed to do it counting the paint matched CVO Street glide lowers and thats with a 20% discount.

You can get it about 100 less if you buy the primed lower kit and then the CVO Street glide lowers and just swap all the parts.

Hoping someone finds the paint match as that would bring the cost down more.

Dave, maybe I’m not following correctly but wouldn’t you just pay the extra $100 for the matched paint?

do you need provision for the radiators?  the 2018 doesn't come with radiators.  but it does have speaker enclosures.

I'll ask that differently.... Is the Street Glide water cooled and are the lowers different for a water cooled bike over a non water cooled bike ? ..... .... would someone be bolting water cooled style lowers on (if they are different).

Since I'm not a fairing lower type person I have no idea. Just trying to educate myself here.....

The 2018 CVO Street glide is air cooled like the road glide. In 17 the CVO Street glide was water cooled.

I like the air management the lowers provide.

There is no paint matching issue.  The issue is its 1800 dollars because it is not offered in a kit.  I can buy the CVO lowers, and a set of primed lowers in a kit and save 100 dollars over buy all the parts to install the lowers.

So my thought is if I can have the primed lowers paint matched for under 800 dollars I can save money.

Dave do you mean $1000.00 where you typed $100.00? Cause $100.00 savings isn't much of a difference to have factory matched paint.
