Hi there new to this and CVO, I just picked up my Road Glide CVO Anniversary, I thought there were 900 made my production number says 458 of 550, could anybody give me an answer? I think this is an error.

Welcome from The Island!
You've found a great place to help you spend $$!....but, you'll have fun along the way.
-
Moved your post to this board since it is a specific question about your model bike. It was posted earlier today that another "numbered" model didn't end up with the maximum number that was stated by MoCo prior to end of production run. Just like any other numbers the MoCo puts out they are estimated (depending on popularity/sales) numbers depending on sales. However, until the end of production year it's anybodies guess.
BTW - If you want to start another thread in the New Member Board to introduce yourself feel free to do so.

Welcome and congrats on the new ride!

I'll still say "Welcome to the site" even though you got the boot. Glad I didn't ask a question when I introduced!!!

Can you please share the link on where this was posted earlier today? I've googled the web for the last hour & can't find a thing regarding MoCo releasing more CVO numbered models.

Look at this post - FLHTCUSE/2/3/4/5/5.5/6/6.5 Production Number Totals Reply #16 (http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?topic=69783.msg1099590#msg1099590). The member is referring to how the post production numbers released by the MoCo don't match up to the predicted (badge # 0000 of 1800) number on his bike.

If our badge states 458 of 550 that would be quite an odd change since there are already badges out there that list xxx of 900. :nixweiss:
Like Phixtit posted, post a picture of your badge.
Here is one I found a pic of.
-
Will post picture of badge probably sat, when I will make it back up to dealership.
-
I too would like to see a picture of the number badge on the tank console.
All that I have seen so far on both the Kings and the Road glides have been xxx/900
-
It sure would be interesting if there were two different badges out there!
-
I would say someone would be getting a talking to if that was the case.
-
Where are you located. Could be bikes sent abroad have different production numbers
-
New, not properly introduced but here is my tank badge in SoCal....
-
Looks like someone is in TROUBLE!
-
What the....
-
I am sure there is a story behind this one!
-
Just goes to show you what happens when the CVO's aren't put together in their own separate assembly plant anymore.
-
Probably projected sales, and changed the badges on the newer ones.
The ones with "900" as the final tally will probably get a notice to bring er back to the dealer an swap out with the lower count.
Just my opinion or course. The fewer the better!
-
I would sure hope the mothership figures this out. All the bikes should have the same last number....900 or 550.
-
Well guys here are my photo's, I have a few people looking into this so far no answers.
<iframe class="imgur-album" width="100%" height="550" frameborder="0" src="http://imgur.com/a/FbXYP/embed"></iframe> click on the link for all photos,there also the photo of the medallion 458 of 550

I just saw a badge on one at the dealer today and it was 480 of 550. Looks like the MoCo decided to change the production qty midstream. From what others have said on this forum, if the production wasn't reached in the past they just leave the end number the same.
I wonder if this has some connection with the lack of FLTs in 2014? :nixweiss:
-
I'd say if they're already up to 480, then there's not many left!
-
Inferno, that all depends if they go with the 550 count or decide that they now are going to make 900! :huepfenlol2:
-
Well, it is a mystery. I own 180/900, purchased in November in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Today I saw 430/550 in Phoenix. "Very interesting....but stupid".
-
Well Guys I have some good info on the badge. I just got off the phone with District Manager of Field Operation from HD, apparently at york facility their was a misprint on a batch of bike badges that were sent out on some of the bikes. They will be correcting this problem, you will need to notify your dealer and they will replace the 550 badge with 900 but they will need misprint badges to give you the correct one.
-
??? :huepfenlol2: ??? :huepfenlol2:
-
Ha! I think the people with the 550 badges will be wanting to keep them In lieu of trading for the correct one.
-
Unhappy employees don't give a chit! Chit starts at the top, and continues down the toilet!
It really is a shame, when we the owners care more about our motorcycles then the company
making them!
-
My eagle just landed today. 564 of 900. Love it!!!! Thanks Timmy and Bumpus of Murfreesboro, Tennessee. :orange:
-
:bananarock: Dealer called today 555/900 has arrived
looks like they fixed the cut off problem
