Sun Downer seat and Klock Werks
« on: January 24, 2021, 10:05:21 AM »

Hello. Looking for some help.  Want to install a HD Sundowner seat on my Street Glide.  They say the at seat puts you a little higher than stock.  I also always install Klock Werks windshields on my bikes. Typically I use a 8.5 inch.  Is that still the right height with a different seat?  Any experiences?

No way for anyone else to say/know with any precision or specificity.  Both measures are relative to the rider's own dimensions.  How tall from the seat up is the rider?  Is your ass ginormous (so you're elevated considerably above the saddle) or are you an itty bitty thing?  Saddle, bars, windshield, pegs, etc are all adjusted to accommodate the rider as it is generally far more painful to adjust things the other way around.

So, the size of your windshield depends on the size of your thing?

I’d better get a taller windshield...
