I don't expect it to be in the bike more than a couple of months (2-2.5). I was thinking about the stuff still in the bottle.

That's what I assumed when I originally posted.  If the bottle is sealed up, I've seen no issues even after several years sitting on the shelf.

I use ValvTect. A fuel stabilizer as well as a treatment for ethanol laced fuel.
Came about when ethanol started showing up at marinas and the fuel was eating fiberglass tanks and causing general havoc with fuel systems.

Untreated fuel was good for the recreational towing market for quite awhile.

I just bought a fresh bottle of Sta-Bil and on the front label it states "Keeps fuel fresh for up to 12 months."

And the back label has a spot to write in the date the bottle is opened and they state that the "Product can be used for up to 2 years after the bottle has been opened."

There is no reference to the shelf life on an unopened bottle.

Yup, my bottle has it. I opened it in December, so I'm good for this winter and next easily. The following year will be right at the end of that two years.

I use sea-foam, it is very good and removers moisture, use as directed I use it year around. Just use 1 oz per gallon. I carry a 5oz bottle and add to the 5 gallon tank every other tank. Might be overkill. Also use in lawn equipment.
