Stayed with the black and green color combo. Emerald green to krytonite. So far so good love the bike, handles better less wind......now to upgrade the lighting and add a tour pack. Does anyone have any recommendations on led headlight and what type of aftermarket tour pack kit to put on this bike. Thanks

There are a couple of discussions on JW Speaker headlights that are impressive.

Put 40miles on the bike and now it’s been in the shop for the ABS light staying on. At first the dealership, thought it was the ecu, now they tell me a lot of the connection have corrosion and some have extra dielectric grease. I’m getting frustrated. Hope this works itself out. Financially I think I’m gonna get screwed. So pissed at selling dealer. I could have bought new but love this year cvo. Ugh.

Hey Johnnyet.
For me it is the best CVO SG paint layout. I went nuts to get mine in black so I understand when you get stuck on a color but when it comes to reliability the 2011 has to be the worst year. If you do some searches you will find many threads. Damm I got tired of writing them, lol. Hopefully yours will be ok but I do remember that they did have a problem with the green paint. Also the amp needed to get revised/replaced. It was also the first year of the boom audio and needed to be set up or you were blowing tweeters and speakers. The lifters are really bad. That's a story in it's self. Anyway if you really like the bike I would get the extended warranty. If you still can. Once you get the main things out of the way for maintenance it is a very nice bike.

Paint is good, radio good, ABS light is only issue.

Hopefully you get it sorted out and enjoy after this.

Everything is all fixed on the bike. The abs issue was the abs module. The dealership did the right thing. Took them 3 weeks to diagnose problem and I was changed for 3 hours labor and the part. The selling dealer in Iowa made good and paid me what I laid out for the repair. So maybe I’m blessed with this bike. Love the ride and the look. Only other issue was the radio crapped out. Replaced it with one off the inter webs I got for 100$. So all is good. Plan on doing at least 10000 more miles this year.

That paint scheme is one of my favorites! Congratulations on the new ride!

Congrats on the new bike. I loved my 2011 SESG it was an amazing bike. I definitely recommend upgrading to GMR's compensaver and upgrading your lifters if they haven't already been done. Enjoy!!!

Good to hear you are getting some of the kinks worked out. I've loved this bike since I saw the first picture the day they were released. I've got 35k on my Kermit and still going strong. :cucumber:
