Would the 2011 110" CVO engines have as stock the Harley "B" lifters?

2011 parts manual shows 18538-99C as the stock lifter.

You need to change out the lifters soon! My 2011 CVO had 41K miles before I changed them out. Did it just in time before the lifters destroyed the motor! The lifters were showing a lot of wear on the rollers & had already damaged the cams. I changed the lifters out with S&S lifters & quickie adjustable push rods. Also changed inner & outer cam bearings, cams & cam drive chain tensioners.
Don't trust Harley lifters!

the CVO valve springs have a lot to do with premature lifter wear,replace the lifters with S&S units and springs with less seat presure

The seat pressure of the cvo springs is less than the AV&V beehives. The cam intensity does not help. The weight of the valves does not help. There are no lifters that solve this, they are just collateral damage

what spring pressure would you guys recommend and whose, S&S etc.?

There is nothing wrong with the stock springs in a stock motor, 155 seat and ~425 lb open at .550! Eyes should be on the cams. If you want a cam that will mimic stock use a CycleRama 570 or TTS100. Changing that and lifters to Hylift 2313SE direct oiling slow bleed units will solve the longevity issues in the CVO110
When I port the heads and replace the springs I use conicals with varying pressures or duals for the very high lift stuff.

I replaced my Jim's lifters after running the first 1k for break in with Harley B's. Now have about 18k and wondering if I should be changing them again and what kind this time around. My motor is a Jims 131. I can say the Jim's lifters were very noisy.

So was it the lifters that are the culprit or the other players in the valve train. I do not use Jims products other than some of the tools. Issues over the years.

The lifters is all that was changed. The motor blew at about 8k and was rebuilt by Jim's using 5 over pistons. It was a whole different motor when I got it back. The only way I can explain is the way it feels all around compared to the first time around. It has been awesome since. The bottom end was done originally by Jim's

Just Rooster notes in regards to Jims Lifter (SE Lifters), back in 2004 a Jims 120 (not the 131) was installed in my 2003 Road Glide after about 10,000 miles on a trip from Phoenix back to Calgary, the lifters failed and grenaded the engine. Luckily I was in Great Falls, Montana and a friend of mine Charlie Lawlor (Short Block Charlie) picked me and the bike up and took it to his shop in Monarch, Montana. I go a hold of JIMS and they had us ship the engine back to them and sent back a complete new engine without any argument at a complete surprise, of course replaced the lifters right away, and never had any more problems with the engine. I heard later some others weren't as fortunate with JIMS.

HD if your referring to my post, I was in Sturgis with the bike the year before, however this time it was a trip direct from Phoenix to Calgary through Montana.
I know Rooster is in Oregon, I think.

seat pressure should be set according to what cams are used.the SE springs have more seat & open pressure than .600 lift AV&V springs from what ive tested too

I tested the springs. The stock spring has 156# on the seat with 1.805 spring pack, protrusion 1.995", and 378# at .550 lift (~stock lift). These were taken from unaltered CVO 110 heads, used with low miles. I tested two sets and found all of them within 5% of my initial number. I realize this does not match Screaming Eagle specifications but are actual and the springs are used which is closer to real world.
Then I checked the AV&V 6000 spring, after working them in. Came in at 1.835" spring pack and was 174# seat and 338# at .550 lift.
My Rimac spring tester is recently calibrated with a Rimac and PAC calibration spring.
